Mr. Qiao Gan | Southwest Medical University | China

Mr. Qiao Gan is a distinguished researcher in pharmacology, currently affiliated with the Department of Pharmacology, School of Pharmacy at Southwest Medical University, where he also contributes to the Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory of Central Nervous System Drugs and serves on multiple national scientific committees in cancer rehabilitation and anti-tumor drug development. His research spans oncology, cardiovascular pharmacology, and neurodegenerative disease, with a strong focus on elucidating molecular mechanisms, advancing drug screening strategies, and developing innovative therapeutic approaches. With 43 peer-reviewed documents, an h-index of 17, and more than 865 citations across 801 documents, his work demonstrates both productivity and high scientific impact. Mr. Qiao’s publications in leading journals such as Cells, Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) – General Subjects, International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Ageing Research Reviews, and Drug Design, Development and Therapy highlight his ability to bridge molecular biology, pharmacological intervention, and translational medicine. His research has made significant contributions to the understanding of progranulin biology, cardiomyopathy mechanisms, marine-derived protein kinase inhibitors for cancer therapy, and the use of exosome-coated miRNAs in pancreatic cancer treatment. In addition to original research, he has been principal investigator on projects supported by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, focusing on anti-tumor nano-polypeptides, lysosomal function remodeling, and synergistic therapies in oncology. His work has been recognized internationally for both innovation and translational value, with recent studies on empagliflozin in sepsis-induced cardiomyopathy and the therapeutic potential of progranulin receiving high attention. Actively engaged in collaborative research and scientific mentorship, Mr. Qiao combines fundamental discovery with clinical relevance, positioning himself as a rising leader in pharmacological sciences with a growing international research footprint.
