Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ligang Wang is a leading scholar in materials for energy applications, currently serving at Tianjin University as a doctoral supervisor and core member of the National Energy Storage Platform’s Electrochemical Energy Storage Technology Center. He is a Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials and actively contributes as a reviewer for national science foundations and academic degree committees. After earning his doctorate from Peking University, he conducted advanced research at Tsinghua University, collaborating with prominent experts in catalysis and materials chemistry. His research centers on atomic-level design and controllable synthesis of catalysts for energy conversion and environmental resource utilization, aligning with carbon neutrality and sustainable development goals. He has made significant advances in water electrolysis for hydrogen production, fuel cells, CO₂ electroreduction, and the recycling of waste plastics and precious metals.
