Dr. Min-Kyu Park is a Research Professor at Kyungpook National University recognized for his significant contributions to biomaterials, microbial biotechnology, and genomic research. His work focuses on exploring the functional roles of microorganisms and developing innovative bio-based technologies that support sustainable agriculture, environmental management, and biomedical applications. Through the integration of next-generation sequencing, microbiome analysis, and bioinformatics, he investigates microbial diversity and metabolic pathways to identify beneficial microorganisms with industrial and agricultural potential. Dr. Park has actively led and collaborated on numerous national and international research initiatives, advancing the understanding of plant growth–promoting bacteria, enzyme-producing microbial strains, and environmentally friendly biological solutions. His research has resulted in a strong portfolio of peer-reviewed publications and several patented microbial technologies that have been successfully translated into commercial products such as biofertilizers, feed additives, and biological pest-control agents. By bridging fundamental microbiological science with biomaterials development and biotechnology innovation, he contributes to sustainable resource management and next-generation biological product development. His interdisciplinary research continues to support advances in microbial engineering, environmental sustainability, and applied biomaterial technologies.
